A Prestigious and Highly Competitive Selection

The Michigan Founders Fund Pre-Accelerator is delivered in collaboration with gener8tor’s gBETA program, a nationally recognized platform historically ranked among the Top 15 accelerators in the United States. The prestige of the program is reflected in its rigorous selection process. Mixel Studio was chosen as one of only five companies from a pool of 122 Michigan-based applicants, marking a significant milestone for the company.

The final cohort brought together a diverse group of high-potential Michigan startups addressing critical challenges across climate, mobility, advanced materials, and immersive technology, including peers such as Capture Tech, Cargility, Ecosphere Organics, and 40 Acres app

Strong Interest from the Ecosystem

At the showcase, Mixel Studio introduced its platform OXR, a no-code, subscription-based “Canva + Zoom for XR” platform that enables institutions to create and deliver immersive experiences across devices—easing the engineering-heavy workflows with scalable XR across web and headsets.

“XR is moving toward lightweight, everyday devices, with companies like Google and Samsung accelerating the ecosystem. OXR is built for this shift—enabling seamless integration into everyday workflows across devices,” said Chiao Lin, CEO of Mixel Studio.

In addition to pitching on stage, the company demonstrated its technology live at its booth, drawing strong interest from founders, investors, and mentors. Following the presentation, Mixel Studio was approached by several investors, including a Michigan-based venture capital firm that expressed interest in advancing to the diligence phase.
